How to Build a Hikvision IP Camera System: Cameras, NVR and PoE Switch
Updated 28 October 2026. Prices are Quality Computer's selling prices on our website that day.
Short answer: A Hikvision IP system has three parts: IP cameras, an NVR that records them, and a PoE switch (or a PoE NVR) that powers each camera over its network cable. 2MP covers most homes and shops; choose 4MP where you need more detail, such as a gate or a cash counter. Every Hikvision camera with today's price is on our Hikvision camera price in Nepal page.

Frequently asked questions
Where can I see today's Hikvision camera prices?
Every Hikvision camera we stock is listed with today's price on our Hikvision camera price in Nepal page.
2MP or 4MP Hikvision camera?
2MP is enough for most rooms and shop counters. 4MP shows more detail for wide areas like parking, and the 4MP dome costs Rs 7,999 against Rs 5,899 for the 2MP dome.
What is a PoE switch for?
It powers IP cameras and carries their video over the same network cable, so you don't need a separate power supply at each camera.
Do you sell Hikvision attendance and access control devices?
Yes, including the DS-K1T320EFWX face, fingerprint and card terminal (Rs 12,125) and the DS-K1T343EFWX face recognition terminal (Rs 19,500).
