Dell Latitude buying guide: Latitude 3420 or 3440
Both Dell Latitude laptops here are 14-inch business models. The choice comes down to the processor generation, the screen and the storage. For the basics, see the Dell laptop buying guide on Dell laptop price in Nepal.
1. Latitude 3420 or Latitude 3440
The Latitude 3420 here has an 11th gen Core i5-1135G7 with 4 cores and 8 threads (Intel). The Latitude 3440 has a 12th gen Core i5-1235U with 10 cores and 12 threads (Intel), so it copes better with many apps open at once.
Storage differs too. The 3420 has a 128GB SSD plus a 1TB hard disk: Windows runs from the small SSD and your files go on the big disk. The 3440 has one 512GB SSD, which keeps everything fast. Dell sold the 3420 with either an HD (1366 x 768) or an FHD screen (Dell). The 3440's name says FHD; the 3420's doesn't, so ask us which screen it has.
2. What makes it a business laptop
Latitude is Dell's business range, and the ports show it. Dell lists a wired Ethernet (RJ-45) port, HDMI and a USB-C port with DisplayPort and Power Delivery on the Latitude 3420 (Dell). Ask us about the ports on the 3440 before you order if you need a wired connection. The Ethernet port on the 3420 is handy in offices with a wired network, or when Wi-Fi is weak.
