iPhone 13 buying guide: iPhone 13 or 13 Pro, and which storage
The iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Pro look alike from the front. Both have a 6.1-inch OLED display and the A15 Bionic chip. The differences are the display's refresh rate, the cameras, battery life and build.
1. iPhone 13 or iPhone 13 Pro
The 13 Pro has ProMotion, so its display refreshes at up to 120Hz and scrolling looks smoother. It adds a third camera, a 3x Telephoto, plus macro photography, Apple ProRAW, ProRes video and a LiDAR Scanner. Its frame is stainless steel (Apple).
The 13 Pro also lasts longer, with up to 22 hours of video playback against 19 hours for the iPhone 13. The iPhone 13 is lighter, at 173 g against 204 g (Apple: iPhone 13, 13 Pro). If you mostly take photos of people and places, the iPhone 13's two 12MP cameras (Main and Ultra Wide) are enough. If you want zoom or close-ups, go for the Pro.
2. Pick the storage and colour
Apple made the iPhone 13 in 128GB, 256GB and 512GB, and the 13 Pro also in 1TB. You can't add storage to an iPhone later. 128GB is fine for calls, social media and photos. If you shoot a lot of 4K video, choose 256GB or more, because those files are large. This matters more on the 13 Pro: the 128GB model records ProRes only up to 1080p, and 4K ProRes needs 256GB or more (Apple).
Apple's iPhone 13 colours were (PRODUCT)RED, Starlight, Midnight, Blue, Pink and Green. The 13 Pro came in Graphite, Gold, Silver, Sierra Blue and Alpine Green. Call us if you want a particular storage size or colour.
3. Charging and cases
Both models charge through Lightning, not USB-C. Apple's box has a USB-C to Lightning cable but no power adapter. With a 20W USB-C adapter, they charge to 50% in about 30 minutes. They also work with MagSafe chargers at up to 15W and other Qi chargers at up to 7.5W (Apple).
Cases don't swap between the two. The 13 Pro's camera area is bigger, so buy a case made for your exact model.
4. SIM and software support
Both take one nano-SIM plus an eSIM, or two eSIMs. In Nepal, Apple's carrier page lists eSIM support for Ncell (Apple Support), and the nano-SIM slot takes a card from either operator.
Apple lists the iPhone 13 and 13 Pro as compatible with iOS 27, its current software. Apple Intelligence is limited to the iPhone 15 Pro, 15 Pro Max and iPhone 16 models and later, so the iPhone 13 doesn't get it (Apple). For Apple Intelligence or USB-C, look at the iPhone 16 series.
Our iPhone page sets the iPhone 13 against every other series on the site.

iPhone 13 FAQ
What is the iPhone 13 price in Nepal?
Prices change often, so we don't type them into this guide. The iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Pro listings on this page show our current website price for each model.
What is the difference between the iPhone 13 and 13 Pro?
The 13 Pro adds a 120Hz ProMotion display, a 3x Telephoto camera, macro photography, a stainless steel frame and longer battery life. Both are 6.1 inches with the A15 Bionic chip.
Is the iPhone 13 still worth buying?
For calls, photos, social media and everyday apps, it still does the job, and Apple lists it as compatible with iOS 27. It doesn't get Apple Intelligence, and it uses Lightning rather than USB-C.
Does the iPhone 13 support eSIM?
Yes. You can use a nano-SIM card with an eSIM, or two eSIMs at once. On Apple's list of Nepali carriers, Ncell supports eSIM and Nepal Telecom has no eSIM listed, so on an NTC number you'd use the nano-SIM slot.
Does the iPhone 13 come with a charger?
No, only a USB-C to Lightning cable. Plug it into a USB-C power adapter; Apple's fast-charge figure of 50% in about 30 minutes needs one rated 20W or more.
