iPhone 14 Pro buying guide: what you get and how it compares
The iPhone 14 Pro is the smaller of the two iPhone 14 Pro models, with a 6.1-inch screen. Pick it if you want a 3x zoom and a 120Hz screen without the weight of the Pro Max.
1. What you get with the iPhone 14 Pro
The 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max were the first iPhones with the Dynamic Island, an Always-On display and a 48MP main camera (Apple). On the 14 Pro, that main camera sits alongside a 12MP ultra wide and a 12MP 3x telephoto, the chip is the A16 Bionic, and the 6.1-inch screen refreshes at up to 120Hz (Apple).
The frame is stainless steel, the phone weighs 206 g, and it's rated for up to 23 hours of video playback. It charges through Lightning.
2. iPhone 14 Pro or another model
The iPhone 14 Pro Max gives you the same features on a 6.7-inch screen, with up to 29 hours of video playback and a weight of 240 g (Apple). The iPhone 14 drops to the A15 Bionic and two 12MP cameras, with no telephoto (Apple).
From the newer range, the iPhone 15 Pro is the same size with USB-C and a titanium frame (Apple), plus Apple Intelligence (Apple). If you're also looking at the iPhone 15, the FAQ below compares the two. The iPhone 14 series page lists all three 14 models.

iPhone 14 Pro FAQ
How much storage should I get on the iPhone 14 Pro?
It comes in 128GB, 256GB, 512GB and 1TB. If you want 4K ProRes video, get 256GB or more, because the 128GB model records ProRes at 1080p only (Apple). For everyday photos with an iCloud or Google Photos backup, 128GB is fine.
Should I buy the iPhone 14 Pro or the iPhone 15?
They share a lot: the same A16 Bionic, a 48MP main camera and the Dynamic Island. The 14 Pro is the one with a 3x telephoto and a 120Hz Always-On screen. The iPhone 15 charges over USB-C and is 35 g lighter, at 171 g (Apple).
Does the iPhone 14 Pro support Apple Intelligence?
No. Apple's list of Apple Intelligence iPhones doesn't include any iPhone 14 model (Apple). The 14 Pro does run iOS 27 (Apple). If Apple Intelligence matters to you, the iPhone 15 Pro is the closest model that has it.
