Buying from Quality Computer
Ruijie also sells an RG-ES228GS-P-V2 with the same ports, 370 W PoE budget and 56 Gbps switching capacity. Its page lists 6 kV surge protection, where Ruijie Brazil gives 4 kV for the RG-ES228GS-P. It also lists Perpetual PoE (PoE stays on while the switch restarts) and ERPS on the SFP ports, which the RG-ES228GS-P pages don't mention. Ask us which version the unit you're buying is.

How much PoE power does it give?
370 W in total across the 24 PoE/PoE+ ports (IEEE 802.3af/at). The Ruijie product pages we read don't list a per-port maximum, so add up your devices' power and ask us if you're close to the limit.
Is it a managed switch?
Ruijie calls it a smart cloud managed switch and lists it as Layer 2. You manage it through Ruijie Cloud or the Reyee app, with VLANs, loop prevention, port isolation and IP camera recognition.
Is it the RG-ES228GS-P-V2?
Our product name is the RG-ES228GS-P, without V2. Ruijie also sells an RG-ES228GS-P-V2, whose page lists 6 kV surge protection, Perpetual PoE and ERPS on the SFP ports (see "Buying from Quality Computer"). Ask us which version the unit you're buying is.
The MAC table size, VLAN count, surge rating, fan, power supply, power consumption, size, weight, humidity and MTBF are from Ruijie Brazil's page only; the other Ruijie pages we read don't list them.
Ruijie Brazil writes the forwarding rate as "41,664 Mpps", with a comma as the decimal mark: 41.664 Mpps. Ruijie's page for the RG-ES228GS-P-V2 gives 41.66 Mpps.
Ruijie Brazil's feature list says "Sem ventiladores" (fanless), but its spec table, which compares this switch with three other RG-ES200 models, gives this one an integrated fan that stops below 25 °C. Ask us if fan noise matters where you'll install it.
