Tata AC buying guide: which Vertis size, and what the spec sheet says
This page has the TATA Vertis split AC in three sizes. Choosing between them comes down to the room, and the spec sheet tells you what to plan for at home. For the basics, see the AC buying guide on AC price in Nepal.
1. Three sizes: 1, 1.5 and 2 ton
The names give both ratings: the TATA Vertis 1 Ton (12000 BTU), the 1.5 Ton (18000 BTU) and the 2 Ton (24000 BTU). The 1 ton suits a bedroom of around 100 to 120 sq ft. A 12 by 12 ft room, or a smaller one that gets strong sun, is better served by the 1.5 ton, and the 2 ton is for a large living room or a small office. The names don't say inverter, so if that matters to you, ask us before you buy.
2. What the 1 ton spec sheet tells you
The 1 ton lists a cooling power consumption of 1,256 W, which is about 10 units of electricity over 8 hours of full-power running. It also heats, with 12,500 BTU of heating capacity, and lists an operating range of -7 to 43°C, a noise level of 34 to 43 dB(A) and a 3 m connecting pipe.
Its voltage range is 207 to 253V. If the supply at your house often drops below 207V, plan for a stabilizer rated for the AC. An electrician can measure your supply if you're not sure.

Tata AC FAQ
Which Tata AC size is right for my room?
The 1 ton for a bedroom of about 100 to 120 sq ft, the 1.5 ton for a 12 by 12 ft room or a sunny smaller one, and the 2 ton for a large living room or small office.
Does the Tata Vertis AC also heat?
The 1 ton lists 12,500 BTU of heating capacity, so it can warm a room in winter as well as cool it in summer.
Do I need a stabilizer for a Tata AC?
Only if your voltage goes outside its working range. The 1 ton lists 207 to 253V, so if your supply often dips below that, use a stabilizer rated for the AC.
