Who the DS-530 II is for
A good fit if you scan stacks of A4 documents to a computer, both sides in one pass, and sometimes cards or long pages.
Look at something else if you want to scan over Wi-Fi or a network, or you need a flatbed glass. The DS-530 II is a sheet-fed scanner with a USB connection only. Epson's Perfection V39II is a flatbed scanner, and Epson's Flatbed Dock lets it work as the DS-530 II's flatbed.

Yes, using Epson's A3 carrier sheet; the two halves are stitched together digitally. Epson Malaysia lists the carrier sheet as B12B819051. It isn't in Epson Vietnam's box list.
Does it connect to Wi-Fi or a network?
No. It connects to a computer by USB. Epson's DS-570WII is the Wi-Fi model.
Can it scan ID cards?
Yes: ISO 7810 ID-1 plastic cards, embossed up to 1.24 mm, or 5 cards without embossing. Epson New Zealand says cards go in portrait only.
How much can it scan in a day?
Epson India rates it for up to 5,500 sheets a day.
