Specifications
| Category | Details |
|---|---|
| Design & Build | Book-style foldable, roughly the size of a passport when closed. Grade 5 titanium frame with a custom titanium and aluminium hinge built from more than 100 precision components. Ceramic Shield 2 front, Ceramic Shield back, IP68 water and dust resistance |
| Inner Display | 7.6″ Super Retina XDR, which Apple says is 50% larger than the iPhone 18 Pro Max display. Nano-texture finish that cuts glare and minimises the visible crease |
| Outer Display | 5.4″ Super Retina XDR with more than 90% of the screen area of the iPhone 18 Pro, so it works as a normal phone when closed |
| Colours | Star White and Night Sky |
| Performance | A20 Pro chip on a 2nm process, the same silicon as the iPhone 18 Pro models |
| Storage Options | 256GB, 512GB, 1TB and 2TB |
| Security | Touch ID built into the side button instead of Face ID, since there is no room for the TrueDepth array. It can also be unlocked with an Apple Watch |
| Cameras | Dual 48MP rear cameras with no telephoto lens, plus an under-display FaceTime camera on the inner screen. The camera system sits a step below the iPhone 18 Pro, so buy the Duo for the folding display rather than for the best iPhone camera |
| Video | 4K Dolby Vision up to 120fps, with Dual Capture recording the front and rear cameras at the same time |
| Battery Life | Up to 44 hours of video playback on the outer display and up to 31 hours on the inner display, or around 24 hours of mixed use per charge |
| Connectivity | Apple C2 modem with 5G. Units sold in Nepal keep the physical SIM tray, since eSIM-only models are limited to a small number of markets |
| Software | iOS 27 with Split View and a redesigned StandBy, built for the larger inner screen. Apple Pencil (USB-C) support is coming later this year |
| Accessories | Official case at $79 in navy blue or sand, and a folio case with kickstand at $129 in navy blue or taupe |
| In the Box | iPhone Duo, USB-C charge cable (1m), documentation |
| Launch Dates | Announced 9 September 2026. Global pre-orders 16 October, on sale 23 October, more than a month after the iPhone 18 Pro models. Nepal availability expected in November 2026 or later |
Is the iPhone Duo the same as the iPhone Fold or iPhone Ultra?
Yes. There is only one foldable iPhone and Apple named it the iPhone Duo. Leaks called it the iPhone Fold for most of 2025 and 2026, and the iPhone Ultra in the weeks before launch. The Duo name refers to its two displays, the 7.6″ inner screen and the 5.4″ outer screen. Any listing you see for an iPhone Fold or iPhone Ultra in Nepal is referring to this same device.
| Colour | Star White or Night Sky |
| Memory | 256GB or 512GB or 1TB or 2TB |
| Brand | Apple |
